1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using HomeschoolReady ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

HomeschoolReady provides AI-powered assessment of NSW homeschool registration plans. You upload or paste your document and receive a structured report with feedback and suggestions based on NESA/NSW requirements.

3. Not Professional Advice

The assessments provided by this Service are generated by artificial intelligence and are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, educational, or professional advice. The Service is a tool to assist in preparation only; it does not replace official NESA Registration Guidelines or the advice of NESA Authorized Persons. The Service does not guarantee that your homeschool plan will be approved by NESA or any government body. The Service may occasionally produce inaccurate information or "hallucinations" regarding NESA requirements. You are responsible for ensuring your plan meets all applicable requirements and must verify all reports against official NESA documentation. The Service relies on third-party artificial intelligence providers. We are not responsible for the underlying logic, biases, or technical failures of these third-party systems. HomeschoolReady is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

4. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. HomeschoolReady will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login details. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

5. Credits and Payments

Assessments require credits, which are purchased in packs via Stripe.
Credits are non-refundable once an assessment has been completed.
Credits consumed by unauthorized or accidental use of your account are not eligible for refund.
Purchased credits currently have no expiry date.
We reserve the right to change pricing and credit policies (including expiry) for future purchases. Existing credit holders will receive at least 12 months' notice before any expiry policy takes effect.
If you are unsatisfied with an assessment result, contact us — we may offer a credit at our discretion.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the documents you upload. By submitting a document, you grant us a limited licence to process it through our AI service, store the extracted text in your account, and store the uploaded file for service improvement purposes. We may use de-identified, aggregated data derived from submissions to improve the Service. We are not a storage or backup service. You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of all uploaded content.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Upload malicious files or content
Attempt to circumvent the credit system or abuse the Service
Create multiple accounts to avoid usage limits
Resell or redistribute assessment reports commercially

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties (including our AI providers).

9. Availability and Modifications

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those non-excludable rights and to the maximum extent permitted by law, HomeschoolReady and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to reliance on assessment results or the performance of third-party AI providers. In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount actually paid by you to HomeschoolReady in the six months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HomeschoolReady and its operators harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice in the app.
